Accommodations and Modifications
You show up to have fun, make friends and improve your fitness. Our job is to provide whatever support you need to make this happen. Whether it's accommodations, modifications or just listening, our trainers love to work with you to figure out how you can be successful. Below is a partial list of some of our most popular supports. If you need something else to be successful make sure to let us know. We love a challenge.
Accommodations (e.g., Lowering weights, providing extra time, ...)
Modifications (e.g., A different version of an exercise)
Substitutions (e.g., Switching challenging exercises for different ones)
De-escalations (e.g., Redirecting or speaking calmly to diffuse tense situations)
Structure (e.g., Workouts at the same time and a regular schedule within workout to reduce anxiety)
Time (i.e., Sometimes the best intervention is doing nothing)
Understanding (i.e., We understand challenging behaviors are just another way of communicating)
Relationships (i.e., Our trainers get to know the athletes to provide a friendly environment)
Favorites (e.g., How did the Lakers do last night?)
Humor (i.e., A well timed joke can make all the difference)
Independence (i.e., Sometimes all an athlete needs is the option to be themselves)
Whatever It Takes (i.e., Let us know what you need. We'll make it happen)
